Dr Peeyush Kumar

Dr Peeyush Kumar is a Consultant Anaesthetist at University Hospital Coventry. His specialist interest includes perioperative anaesthetic management for major HPB/Upper GI surgery, ENTand major robotic oncology surgery. He is Final FRCA examiner and TPD for F1 doctors for UHCW NHS Trust. He is an Associate Clinical Professor (honorary) at University of Warwick

Dr Umair Ansari is a Consultant Anaesthetist at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) who graduated at the University of Southampton. He has an interest in medical education, patient safety and difficult airway management. He completed a fellowship in simulation and a Masters in patient safety and quality improvement at the University of Nottingham. His research interest includes use of ultrasound for airway management. He is involved with teaching of Medical Students at Warwick Medical School. He is an ATLS director at UHCW. His interests outside anaesthesia are in motorsport and he has been a Formula 1 doctor for the last 15 years at Silverstone, UK.

Cyprian Mendonca

Cyprian Mendonca is consultant anaesthetist at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust and Honorary Professor at the University of Warwick. He is current President of Society for Education in Anaesthesia (SEA UK). His special interests include head & neck anaesthesia, airway management, neuroanaesthesia, human factors and medical education. He is an academic lead for core clinical education at Warwick Medical School. He is the course director for human factors and airway training courses at Coventry. He has co-authored six books in anaesthesia and written chapters in the anaestheisa textbooks. He has published a series of peer reviewed papers in advanced airway management and education.

He was awarded President’s commendation certificate from Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2016 and 2021, Featherstone Professor from Association of Anaesthetists (2016-18), and DAS Professor of Annaesthesia and Airway management in 2022 for his sustained contribution to education, airway management and research in Anaesthesia.

Dr Rohit Mittal is a Consultant Neuro Anaesthetist at University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) who graduated at Bangalore University.

He is lead Tutor for Anaesthetic Associate and a course director for Coventry Neuro sim course at UHCW. He has an interest in medical education, patient safety, and TIVA. He is involved with teaching of Medical Students at Warwick Medical School.
