1. The aim of the association is to improve communication and networking amongst the Anaesthetists of Indian origin in UK
2. Meet once a year for academic, social and cultural events
3. Provide an opportunity and a platform for the Anaesthetists of Indian origin to present and share their areas of expertise.
4. Recognise, appreciate and acknowledge the significant contributions made to the profession, by Indian Anaesthetists in UK
5. Encourage research amongst members of the society
6. Acting in an advisory / mentoring capacity for Indian trainees and Middle grades and also offering guidance regarding FRCA.
7. Have a duty to the country in which we live and simultaneously to the country of our origin
8. Helping district hospitals in India by distributing books, journals, and equipments and by also organising ALS/ATLS and other workshops.
9. Liaise with RCOA and Anaesthetic societies in India to:
•Arrange UK consultants (RCA approved) to be examiners in India
•Get exemption from part 1 FRCA for Indian candidates
•Joint ventures with RCA to arrange specialist workshops in India
•Arrange electives to Spr’s of UK in India
•Sponsor Indian anaesthetists to learn special skills in UK
